Clay Field Therapy
Clay Field Therapy supports trauma release, grounding, and emotional integration through mindful tactile work with clay in a safe therapeutic setting.
About Clay Field Therapy
Clay field therapy is a body-oriented, tactile approach to healing that uses natural clay as a medium for self-discovery and emotional integration. Working with the hands in the clay activates deep sensory memories and connects the person directly with the body’s wisdom.
Unlike traditional talk therapy, clay field therapy engages touch, movement, and resistance. The experience can bring buried emotions to the surface while providing grounding and stability through the solid texture of the clay.
It’s especially supportive for trauma, anxiety, or emotional disconnection—helping clients rebuild a sense of inner safety and strength.
The Power of Clay Field
In a clay field session, the hands express what words cannot. The body’s movements in the clay reflect unconscious feelings and impulses. Through pressure, shape, and rhythm, the nervous system finds new patterns of regulation and safety.
The process helps rebuild boundaries, awaken sensory awareness, and strengthen the connection between body and mind.
Main Benefits:
• Releases deep physical and emotional tension
• Encourages grounding and body awareness
• Promotes emotional stability and confidence
• Restores calm and inner balance
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is your Clay Field Therapy practitioner and where was she trained?
Lara is a fully specialized Clay Field Therapy practitioner who completed her theoretical training in 2024 and her intensive 15-day practical training in the United Kingdom in 2025 under the guidance of Professor Cornelia Elbrecht, one of the world’s leading figures in Sensorimotor Art Therapy and Clay Field Therapy.
The practical training included daily lectures, hands-on therapeutic practice, peer work, and mandatory hours of personal process. Lara was the only Slovenian participant, which makes this specialization a deeply meaningful milestone in her professional path. She proudly integrates this method into her therapeutic work with sensitivity, depth, and strong ethical grounding.
Do you offer Clay Field Therapy outside of the retreat?
Yes. Lara offers Clay Field Therapy throughout the year in her private therapy room in Slovenia, providing a safe, grounded environment for adults who want to work with trauma, emotional blocks, or deeper layers of the psyche through a tactile, sensory-motor method.
For clients in the United States, Lara additionally offers online counselling, which can be accessed anytime through her dedicated counselling page.
Why is Clay Field Therapy included in your wellness retreats?
Clay Field Therapy supports profound emotional processing and helps clients reconnect with their internal strength, agency, and embodied awareness. It is especially valuable for trauma integration, grounding, and releasing long-held tension stored in the body.
Lara includes this modality selectively within retreat programs where deeper somatic and emotional themes arise. Because she has personally undergone extensive training, supervision, and required personal work within the method, clients receive Clay Field sessions in a structured, ethical, and deeply supportive manner.
Is Clay Field Therapy suitable for beginners with no therapy experience?
Yes. Clay Field Therapy is accessible even for clients who have never been in therapy before. The tactile nature of the clay, combined with Lara’s supportive guidance, helps clients feel grounded and safe as the process unfolds. No artistic or therapeutic background is required — only openness and curiosity.
